Position Summary:

Responsible for safely and efficiently training operators and supervisors to apply the appropriate procedures for the wireline operation utilizing tools and techniques to ensure quality and cost-effective service is provided to each customer. Provide resource related recommendations to District Management and customers to ensure efficient operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in work, projects, and training of the well site operators and supervisors.
  • Responsible for helping deliver precise wireline operations that will limit the nonproductive time (NPT) for the well site as well as reduce risk and intervention costs.
  • Train and assist operator crews and supervisors in the preparation of the unit and calibration of equipment.
  • Adheres to all well service health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Fosters and maintains positive relationships with customers; builds confidence in the quality of the services provided.
  • May inform customers of any unusual conditions noted at the well, and may maintain direct contact with customer's representatives throughout the wireline operation; interprets common services in the assigned service area for customers.
  • Submits accurate reports and data in a timely manner.
  • Maintains assigned equipment and facilities as required.
  • Assist in preparing drafts and completes all logs for printing on location or immediately upon return to district office from job site, depending on customer requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Has a view of all locations and resources available.
  • Audit wireline operations to identify any issues/inconsistencies.
  • Perform resource allocation and work assignment for implementing business operations.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Educational and Other Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 7 or more years of wireline experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of and ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and WLE regulations applicable to WLE explosives operations.
  • Basic level of knowledge related to industry legislative regulations.
  • Complete and abide by all Safety Training and other provided training.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to plan ahead.
  • Structured and disciplined.
  • Appropriate communication skills for coordination of the well service activities with crew members and supervisory staff.
  • Travel to job location as required.
