Description/Requirements
Position Summary:
The ability to perform repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment with no supervision. Performs complex tasks of equipment in any condition; including fuel, air, coolant, electrical, and drive systems. This includes all types if machinery as applicable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs vehicles and equipment with no supervision.
- Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Performs advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on all components.
- Assists, mentors, and trains other maintenance and/or Mechanic I and Mechanic II employees.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports accurately.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Educational and Other Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Must have minimum two years’ work related skill, knowledge, and hands on experience or vocational training preferred.
- Heavy equipment experience highly recommended.
- Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be knowledgeable of safety practices and procedures.
- Must work independently and as a member of team.
- Sensitive to confidential information.
